We'll build it for you

If you would rather not learn the Layout Editor, you do not have to. Upload your rules and art and ask taybl to build the table for you — by hand, for free. This is the same offer described on the public page; this page is the how-to.

How to request a build

  1. From the Designer Studio, name your game and create it as usual.
  2. On the game screen, pick the third build option: We’ll build it for you.
  3. Upload your rulebook and your board / card / piece art in the uploader above the request form — the same uploader the other two build flows use (see uploading assets for what works best).
  4. Optionally add a note: house rules, which variant to build, a deadline, or the best way to reach you.
  5. Press Request a free build.

You need at least one uploaded file before you can submit — the whole point is that we build from your materials.

What happens next

Your game shows a Queued badge until we pick it up, then Being built. While a build is in flight the game is read-only for you: the uploader, the generation panels, and the Layout Editor are all hidden, so a save of yours cannot land on top of work in progress. Nothing is lost — it is a pause, not a lock-out.

When it is done you get an email with a link straight to your game, and everything opens back up.

Cancelling

While the request is still Queued you can withdraw it from the same screen — your game and every uploaded file stay exactly as they are. Once we have started (Being built) the cancel button goes away; email admin@tayblgames.com and we will sort it out.

What you keep

  • Ownership. The game is yours from the moment you create it and never changes hands. We take temporary write access to build it, nothing more.
  • Full editing rights. When it comes back it is an ordinary game in your Studio. Move zones, swap art, rewrite the setup — see the Layout Editor.
  • The publish decision. We never publish your game for you. Shipping it to the public catalogue is always your call — see publishing.

What we do not do

taybl adapts a game you have already designed. We do not design games, write rules, or draw artwork — bring your own and we turn them into a table you can play on. And as everywhere else in taybl, the finished table does not enforce rules: players move the pieces and resolve everything themselves, with the rulebook in the sidebar (see playing a game).

Would you rather build it yourself?

Most designers do. The other two options on that same screen are Build with AI (upload your materials and taybl generates a first draft to fine-tune) and Build it yourself (no AI at all — you place everything by hand). Both are covered in the Studio tour.
